Will the extraction of oil, gas, fossil fuels and minerals eventually make the earth lighter+effect rotation?

NO!

The stuff we take out of the ground doesn't make the world lighter because it doesn't disappear it is just moved. Its like saying that a filling cabinet is lighter because you took the stuff out of the drawers and set it on top of the cabinet. The mass of the earth includes the gases in our atmosphere, so even if you turn solids into a gas it is still a closed system so nothing can leave and therefore the mass cannot decrease. Will the extraction of oil, gas, fossil fuels and minerals eventually make the earth lighter+effect rotation?
You better be 5 years old if you're asking a question like this...The hole in the ozone layer refers to UV rays being able to penetrate our atmosphere and give you and me skin cancer, ozone blocks UV rays, so if there is a hole, UV rays can pass freely. Report Abuse

If there was an actual hole up there that gas could escape through, then all the gas would escape at one, including air and we would all die. However, even this concept is stupid because gas cannot escape a planet because it is held there by gravity. Go back to school and study some more. Report Abuse

no becuase is comparison to the mass and density of the earth, the mass and density of these fuels is next to nothing. also, as they are not efficient, most of the waste goes back in to the earths atmosphere
No.

We pull those things out of the ground, but they're still on Earth. Their mass hasn't gone anywhere. Besides, the amount that we mine/pump is extremely tiny compared with the total mass of the Earth.
They can't escape past the atmosphere, hence they are still within the earth's mass.

Good thought though =p
