I have an interview tomorrow and they are going to ask me about the oil and gas industry. A brief overview of the extraction process of crude oil, and other process's involved (namely on offshore locations) would be greatly appreciated.
The job is for an apprentice mechanical techinician.

In brief, and with sequence:
- Drill a well by drilling equipment on the platforms
- Fix the well with a set of valves called the christmas tree
- Connect the well with gathering header which houses several wells or could be a manifold
- Connect the manifold to a production header
- The production header connected to oil, gas and water separator, there are two or three stages of separator
- After extraction of water and gas , transport the crude oil to a flow suction tanks or storage.
- Get rid of the water and gas either by re injection or could be processed.
- Transport the crude oil either to the refinery or oil tankers for exportCrude oil gas offshore extraction process?
