The issue of ever-rising gas prices and the constant search for new sources of oil and energy is an important issue worldwide, and is of particular importance in North America, both physically and politically. Across North and South America there are various reserves of oil sands, such as the Athabasca Oil Sands in Alberta. There are many negative environmental impacts to draining these sorts of oil reserves. Propose alternative ecologically friendly, economically feasible, and sustainable solutions to this type of oil extraction.
