When that oil and gas company received their permit to drill on that land (lease), they also made an agreement with the owner of that land (surface owner too) and they decided what percent of production they were going to get...all of that is in their contract, so no, there's nothing you can do....surely the mineral owners were aware of what they were agreeing to.

Oil Field extraction ?
We have in Tx. a small oil field which is being extracted by an oil and gas company, they only pay us $1 out of $6 they extract of oil, is this the way it should be or should I do something about it, please answer if you know something, thanks.Oil Field extraction ?
